Communauté d’agglomération EPINAL

The Communauté d’Agglomération d’Épinal’s wood cluster is developing 4 dynamics around 6 tools with the aim of developing the forestry and wood industry, increasing the skills of local players and, ultimately, increasing the added value produced in the region. This is being done in collaboration with the various players involved, and by drawing on local resources.

1. Encouraging the region’s economic development through initiatives to promote entrepreneurship.
2. Promoting wood construction and bio-sourced products (Défis du Bois, Forum Bois Construction, Salon Habitat et Bois).
3. Supporting local businesses in dealing with ‘jobs and skills’ issues.
4. Supporting the forestry and wood industry, in particular through the ‘Des Hommes et des Arbres, les racines de demain’ project.

Based in Golbey, Green Valley is the result of a partnership between Norske Skog and the Communauté d’Agglomération d’Épinal. Its aim is to develop new activities in the field of wood and eco-construction, while maximising collaboration between companies in the sector. Companies can reduce their costs by exchanging materials, energy and skills, as well as pooling assets (logistics, infrastructure, real estate) and expertise (purchasing, resources, maintenance, management).
