LERMAB (Laboratoire d’Études et de Recherche sur le Matériau Bois) is a multidisciplinary laboratory of the University of Lorraine (UR 4370) attached to the INRAE Nancy-Lorraine center as a USC (Unité sous contrat). Located on two main sites (the Épinal wood campus and the Vandoeuvre-lès-Nancy Faculty of Science and Technology), it also has a branch at the IUT in Longwy.
The laboratory develops research related to wood and natural fibers, from the molecular scale to the macroscopic level of the material, and even to the scale of wood structures.
